About The Role
We’re looking for a senior website copywriter who thinks strategically. Someone who can take an existing brand strategy, combine with SEO/AIO insight, client discovery and commercial understanding, and turn it into messaging that helps businesses grow.
You'll work alongside our strategists, SEO/AIO specialists and designers to shape websites from the inside out.
You'll join client onboarding calls, help refine website structures, interview founders, translate SEO/AIO insights into meaningful messaging, and write copy that feels authentic to the business while helping it perform online.
Most of your work will focus on websites for service-based businesses, with opportunities to contribute to landing pages, digital advertising campaigns and future content initiatives as our services continue to evolve.
This is a highly collaborative role, but one that requires confidence, independence and strong strategic thinking.
What You’ll Own
You'll become the strategic messaging partner on every website project you work on.
This includes:
Leading copy discovery conversations with founders and business owners.
Translating existing brand strategy, client interviews, and SEO/AIO research into compelling website copy.
Identify opportunities to strengthen messaging, positioning and website conversion, sharing strategic recommendations with the wider team where appropriate.
Working closely with our SEO/AIO specialists to balance search performance with human connection.
Helping strengthen website structure, user journeys and page messaging where opportunities exist.
Writing website copy, landing pages, Google Ads, Meta Ads and other conversion-focused marketing assets.
Presenting copy recommendations confidently and guiding clients through feedback and revisions.
Collaborating closely with our designers to ensure messaging and visual storytelling work seamlessly together.
Contributing to the ongoing evolution of Meraki's messaging frameworks, standards and creative thinking.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role isn't measured by how many words you write but by the quality of the thinking behind them. Within your first 3 months, you'll become a trusted strategic partner for both our clients and internal team.
You'll confidently lead client conversations, write messaging that reflects each founder's voice, and help create websites that are clear, persuasive and commercially effective.
You'll also play an important role as Meraki expands into paid advertising, helping shape messaging across landing pages and digital campaigns that support measurable business growth.

You enjoy understanding businesses before writing about them. You ask thoughtful questions, challenge assumptions respectfully and notice what’s missing just as quickly as what already exists.
You enjoy helping service-based businesses communicate their value more clearly, and you’re genuinely interested in the psychology behind why people choose one business over another.
You are comfortable speaking directly with founders, presenting ideas, receiving feedback and guiding conversations with confidence.
Most importantly, you care about producing work you’re proud of.
What you’ll bring:
5+ years of experience writing website copy, messaging or conversion-focused marketing content.
Strong experience working with founder-led or service-based businesses.
Excellent understanding of positioning, messaging and customer psychology.
Experience writing SEO/AIO-informed website copy without sacrificing readability or authenticity.
Confidence facilitating client interviews and presenting strategic recommendations.
Exceptional written English with outstanding attention to detail.
A portfolio demonstrating strategic website copy across multiple industries.
Experience with landing pages and digital advertising copy
Experience working alongside designers, marketers or SEO/AIO specialists in a collaborative environment.
