The Role

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and enjoys variety. You’ll move fluidly between storytelling and SEO-driven copy, writing for both client projects and our internal communications.

You’ll collaborate closely with the Founder and Marketing Strategist to protect and refine the agency’s voice, ensuring that every word reflects warmth, authenticity, and purpose. You’ll also ensure that AI-assisted content always feels human, emotive, and aligned with our soul-led brand philosophy.

This is a hands-on, hybrid role that blends creativity with strategic communication across both client and internal projects.

Key Focus Areas

1. Client Copywriting

  • Write long- and short-form content for websites, blogs, and marketing collateral such as newsletters and social media.

  • Capture each client’s unique voice and message through meaningful brand stories and engaging copy that feels alive and authentic.

2. Agency Brand Copywriting

  • Spearhead the agency’s communication, ensuring tone, messaging, and presence reflect its creative ethos.

  • Help articulate what makes Meraki special — the human touch behind the work — across all touchpoints, including website copy, case studies, blogs, and thought leadership.

 

Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and proofread engaging copy for websites, landing pages, email campaigns, blogs, and other marketing materials.

  • Translate brand strategy and client insights into compelling narratives that resonate with audiences.

  • Collaborate with design and marketing teams to ensure copy and visuals align seamlessly.

  • Present and discuss copy concepts directly with clients when needed.

  • Adapt tone and style to fit each client’s brand voice and audience.

  • Guard against AI-generated tone, ensuring that all copy feels authentic, warm, and deeply human.

  • Lead internal and brand communications by maintaining a consistent tone of voice across all touchpoints (website, case studies, newsletters, and thought leadership).

  • Drive storytelling for the agency’s brand and collaborate with the Founder and Marketing Strategist to craft content that highlights the team, projects, and philosophy behind The Meraki Way.

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven ability to write clear, creative, and conversion-driven copy.

  • Strong understanding of brand voice, storytelling, and user experience.

  • Excellent command of grammar, tone, and structure.

  • Confidence in engaging directly with clients and presenting ideas.

  • Experience balancing SEO/AIO optimization with human-centered writing.

  • Portfolio showcasing long- and short-form copy across diverse industries.

  • Experience with Squarespace or similar platforms is a plus but not required.
